Randomness #2: I've Got a LOT going on this month!!! :)

Hello, everybody! I've been pretty busy this past month. Can't ya tell? I haven't posted anything on since April 14th! Since things are winding down with my school/college work, I'm glad to be able to write up some new posts and catch up! This is my second Randomness post, but if anything, I may as well call it a Public Service Announcement since I have so much to anticipate this month. Here goes,,, randomness (hehe)!

First, I would like to start something new or this blog, which is posting a "Quote Of The Week". I am posting these not only for motivation, but to also let you guys know that I am alive and well. So, here it is:

Quote Of The Week: "If you want something done, do it yourself; other wise it'll never get done." --Alicia Figgs

This applies to me a great deal, because today, I came to the realization that if I want to do things that I desire, then I am going to have to do them on my own time. I realize that there are people out there who are not willing to lend a helping hand, or enable you to do what you desire. Or, they may want you to, but you catch them at an inopportune time, and unfortunately, your desires are being pushed back even more. Do what's best for you, and do it because you WANT to do it. Not because someone says that you SHOULD do it. Defy the odds. Avoid peer pressure (or any other pressures for that matter) at all costs. :)

Hope that quote (and my long anecdote after it) gives you some food for thought. Now, on to my Public Service Announcement, so to speak. As I stated earlier, I have a lot of things going on this month, from school to extracurricular opportunities to lending a helping hand to my family members! I am so excited and blessed to be able to have all these incredible opportunities put before me. Here they are!!!!! :)

  • May 12th - May 17th - A HUGE string of professional wrestling shows, which will ALL be featured on my blog! Check them all out here ----> Kianna Fury's Wrestling!
  • May 14th FFA Officer Interview - FFA Officer interview and test; STUDY, STUDY, STUDY!!!! --> I am very nervous, yet excited about this. In all my years, I have never saw myself as a leader of any type. If anything, I've always seen myself as a timid, wallflower. Now, that I am doing this, I look to capitalize and be able to take part in one of the better experiences of being in the FFA.
  • May 21st FFA Award Ceremony - FFA Awards Ceremony - I enjoyed it last year, and I know for sure that I will enjoy it this year, I picked up three awards, but I see myself winning more. Haha, however, I have to play carpool in order to make the ceremony! I'm willing to do this, because I want to be able to celebrate the accomplishments that I have made for this week.
  • May 25th - 28th - SENATE PAGE WEEK IN RALEIGH!!!!!! - I have been chosen to be a Senate Page for this week. Basically, what a Senate Page does is assist the senator of your district in small and big tasks. The benefits? Not only are there educational benefits, but there are financial benefits as well. I get a check for $150 and 30 hours community service (which is definitely beneficial when you are in the FFA). In case you were wondering, yes, I will keep track of my experience. First, I am going to write them down in a notebook and then post all of them in separate blogs!
  • May 30th Wrapping Party- If time persists, I will help out my beautiful cousin Summer with her wrapping party. She is an up-and-coming entrepreneur who works for ItWorks! She's asked to assist her incollecting contacts, payments, etc... and the perk is... I GET PAID! CHA-CHING!

As you can see, I have a TON going on this month, and I am super excited for every task that has been put on the table for me. What makes it even more exciting is that I am going to be doing video blogs on my Vimeo account (and I will probably post them to YouTube) for all of you to see. Like I wrote on the top of my blogsite, join me on the trip to my future. Well, my future officially starts... NOW!

Until next time, folks! By the way, today's Song of the Day is "Moving (Straight To The Top)" by Don Carlos & Gold, and this song perfectly describes where I am going with my life right now. It may not be an easy road, but it's damn worth the ride. :)
