Playlist #17: so much to discover, pt. 2 - oldies🎵

I'm back with another playlist! To be honest, I recently edited my Spotify playlists, so there is definitely more songs on this playlist than there was when I first embedded the link onto this post. Damn, I listen to music more than I watch television and it shows, haha.

This playlist includes songs from the 1950s to the 1980s, and I will forewarn you that the majority of the listen includes Motown artists. The playlist heavily comprises of groundbreaking Black artists such as Sam Cooke (pictured in the gif above), Jackie Wilson, Michael Jackson (whom I have a whole Spotify playlist dedicated to), Marvin Gaye, Gladys Knight, Anita Baker, etc. I grew up on all of these artists, and it greatly inspired me when Black artists are able to express themselves through their music. Despite the sacrifices 20th Century Black artists had to go through - such as segregation, racism, not being credited for their music, etc. - they were able to persevere and make their marks in music history.

Without further ado, here is the "so much to discover, pt. 2 - oldies" playlist. Enjoy!
