Playlist #2: Brazilian Love Affair ❤
Alo, alo! So, yesterday, I did Cuba, today I'm doing love songs of Brazil. I got into music of Brazil around 2 years ago, when I was randomly looking up music from different countries. The first-ever Samba song I ever listened to was "Uva de Caminho" by the late great Carmen Miranda (who was unknown to me at the time). At first, I found the song to be amusing because of the way Carmen sang but the more listened to it, I fell in love with the song... and with her. I would then go on to listen to other Samba greats such as: Noel Rosa, Francisco Alves, Silvo Caldas, Dalva de Oliviera, Ary Barboso, Almirante, Cartola and Heitor dos Prazeres. This playlist is very mesmerizing, and I think you Samba fans out there will enjoy it. Give it a listen. :)
Oh yeah. By the way, the art in the picture above is Morro da Mangueira by Heitor dos Prazeres! he was also a renowned artist, with his art reflecting Afro-Brazilian lifestyles, customs and culture.
