Playlist #1: Cuba, Beyond Buena Vista!
Hola, hola everybody! So, I've been embracing cultures from around the world, and music is definitely out of the question as to how I embrace different cultures. For my first playlist, I'm beginning with the Latin influences of Cuba. To be honest, I have always been into Latin music. I love dancing to certain genres (well, I flat out love dancing period, but still...). It all started when I listened to Daddy Yankee's "Gasolina", a popular Reggaeton song, then I branched out into other Latin genres such as: Bachata, Salsa, Bolero, Argentine rock, Latin pop, Samba, Milonga, Tango, Cumbia, Rumba, and Merengue.Alos, in three to five years, I plan to go to study abroad, venture and possibly live in Latin America (Argentina, specifically). And of course, I know that I need to vigorously study Spanish, which I am currently doing on my own time (hey, I'm a great self-learner). Here's a small plaaylist, which I took from the beautiful Nathalie Kelley's Spotify playlist. I'm listening and swaying to the beat of the songs as I type this blog post. I hope you guys enjoy!
