Mediatation - You Are The Universe! ❤

I type this to you on a Microsoft Word document during the bus ride to class this morning. I am very tired (as usual), but in a way – I feel very relaxed and in deep contact with my inner self. Wonder why I feel this way? Meditation is the reason. For the past week and a half, I have been meditating and getting into a more personal relationship with God. When I feel stressed or if I just need time to myself, I get into my zone and I have a non-verbal conversation with God. That’s just the way it goes. A majority of the time, I mediate while I am in the shower. Just the feeling of water trickling down my face and listening to the hidden music sounds of the shower sprinkles is enough to get me in a meditative state.
A majority of people may think that meditation is just like prayer, but it is not. Prayer is when you are talking to God. Meditation is when God is talking to you. Now, I am not the person to post all about my religion on any social media format, but when it comes to meditation, God certainly comes to mind. I also don’t go around telling people about my relationship with Him, simply because what I meditate to Him should be between me and Him. I should not have to justify my relationship with God, since it is MY relationship. Think of it as having a martial partner. You would want to keep a great deal of your relationship private (which is hard in itself, since you’re either dying to show them off or… SOCIAL MEDIA), right? Well, this is how I keep my relationship with God under wraps. I meditate. I explore the inner depths of my mind, body, soul and spirit. To be honest, I do not see why people don’t do this more often. Believe me, it can lift a great amount of stress from your shoulders. Since I am taking classes that require more of a workload, I need some kind of reliever to take me away from that stress. Meditation does this for me.
Music may or may not be the best way to meditate. If you’re constantly shuffling to find the right song like me, then it is probably best that you do not listen to music. I said earlier that I meditate in the shower, and the water has hidden musical sounds; you just have to listen very closely. Don’t get wrong. I know I shouldn’t be talking about meditating in the nude, but there is something about it that really takes the cake for me. I feel if I meditate in the nude, I feel myself coming in a deeper contact with my body, and I have complete control of my body. Which makes sense, since it is MY BODY. No one knows my body better than me. I have to live with it, breath with it, eat with it, feel with it, and the list goes on…
Meditation has helped me get to know myself better, and I have only been doing this for a week and a half! I know that I will continue to do this for sure for many years to come! I’m certainly glad that I picked up early in life, so when I reach the age of tremendous amounts of responsibility (in this confronting, torrid, society), I will be ready to conquer anything that comes in my path. I know it is not going to be easy. It never is, but I mediate and focus on my relationship with God, I know that I will be alright, and that is for sure.
If you still feel the need for music during your meditation session, refer to my blog: “Playlist #4: Soul-Stirring Vibes / In the Zone…” for some musical inspiration. I hope my ongoing experience of meditation can inspire you readers out there enough to give it a try for yourselves. Remember, meditation is when God (or whatever religion or any beliefs you have) is talking to YOU. No one else. Keep this in mind, as this is all about you and your spiritual health. Hope you guys have a great one. Now, if you would excuse me, I have to find something else to blog about up here….
