+TWENTY FIVE TRIPS AROUND THE SUN+

Hi, there! It has been nearly two and half years since I published my last blog post. I'm surprised that I still have not deleted this blog. Maybe this is God's way of telling me to keep it up and only post when I feel compelled to do so.

Decided to finally dye my hair after having my signature Afro for nearly a decade.

My 25 year old self is typing this blog from an AirBnB in East Los Angeles, California. I decided to choose Los Angeles as a vacation destination with a good friend of mine, Amanda. As someone who usually travels solo, it is refreshing to travel with a friend or two from time to time. Aside from my travels, I have hit several professional and personal milestones that - honestly - I did not even think that I would be alive to achieve due to my long history with mental health issues. Therefore, I would like to use this blog post to brag on myself (not arrogantly, of course!) and express my gratitude for the things I currently have.

Careers

I am blessed to say I have two careers as a Digital Marketing Specialist and a Photographer. I have been at the same marketing and PR agency for over two years now, and to be honest, I would work there for as long as they would have me due to the flexibility that it offers me. Though I have had my ups-and-downs and no workplace is perfect for humans, I can honestly say that the pros outweigh the cons. As for my photography business, it has been over three years since I launched Kianna Moon Marketing, LLC and my business is an official photography vendor for a top medical insurance company in North Carolina. Unreal!

I have been able to travel to various cities and states including: Boston, MA, Orlando, FL, and even freaking Grand Island, Nebraska (twice!). I also have two more work trips lined up: Denver, CO in October and Houston, Texas in November. I also support various organizations, including Shining Light in Darkness and the American Marketing Association (where I'm also a member). Needless to say, I have finally found my footing in the professional world and I thank God everyday for guiding my footsteps along the way.

Personal Relationships

Over the past couple of years, I have maintained current relationships and started new ones, both platonic and romantic. Firstly, I have two college friends whom I have shared my life with over the past seven years, Julia and Ashley. They both have been beckons of light to me in ways that they may never understand, and I love them dearly. I have also made various friends in my church community, Imago Dei Church in North Raleigh. It is always a joy to see my friends in fellowship and edifying God while also navigating this crazy thing we call life, especially as young adults. In the dating world, I am currently in a long-distance relationship (though I don't consider Raleigh to Philadelphia as long distance, to be honest) and he is just a sweet and gentle giant. We initially met in a pro wrestling group chat on Instagram back in 2020 and we stayed friends for a couple of years before making it official September of last year. Things have been going super well so far and we're both navigating being long-distance one day at a time. Every single person that has came into my life recently is a reflection of my growth and the way I view myself, and I thank God that I am surrounded by so much love.

I can go on and on about all the things that have been happening in my life lately, but I think you get the point. Until the next blog post. Stay wavy~
