A little while ago, I wrote a blog post about my love for the short-lived anime, Samurai Champloo. Now, I am going to include the soundtracks for the anime in this next playlist. With an undeniable fusion of Hip-Hop and Jazz, along with traditional Japanese instrumentals, the late Nujabes had a way of weaving together a beautiful sound that flowed perfectly. This playlist will definitely take you on a ride through the mind of the three main characters of Samurai Champloo, and the music reflects the obstacles the three have to face when going on fuu’s quest to meet the “samurai who smells of sunflowers.” (Dude, I cannot get over that part). Kick back, relax, and chill out to the infectious sounds of Nujabes, Fat, Jon, Force of Nature and Tsutchie.
