All Well and Good...

Hello everyone! Hope life's treating every one of you well. I know it's treating me well at the moment. As of late, I've been receiving wonderful news, compliments and support from different directions. Today, I am going to share just a stitch of them, and hopefully the kindness that I have given and received in return will inspire you guys out there to do the same. Here we go!

So, yesterday, my mother told me that she was going to let me be a Senate Page for a week. For those of you who do not know what a Senate Page is, basically you are being the assistant to YOUR Senator for a week (the reason I say "your" is that a Senate represents different areas, or districts in your state). It is definitely beneficial, because I get a check for 150 bucks and 30 hours of community service under my belt. Also, I get to meet different people from other parts of the state and be able to learn more work ethic skills.

My beautiful cousin Summer (who I mentioned in an earlier blog post), has now joined ItWorks Global, which is an entrepreneur-based business. I could not be more proud of her! She's really making waves for herself. She asked me to come and help at her wrapping (not that "rap") parties to get her business booming. Of course, I said "Yes!", and I am also getting paid for this too... CHA-CHING (Haha)! Don't get me wrong, I am not in this for the money, but I cannot help but think about the greens... Here's a picture of me and Summer from when we were at a family get-together last year (Sorry, it's kinda blurry).

Yeah, she's pretty, right?! Oh, and one last thing. I called one of my distant cousins and he said that I can come stay for part of the summer, and... he's willing to help me get a part-time job! HA! It's pretty funny how money is playing into all of this. Maybe it is a sign of my many financial gains to come. To make things simple, I am very pleased with all the support that I have, and I would not change it for the world! :)

Today's Song of the Day - "Other Side of the Game" by neo-soul artist Erykah Badu, from her first album, Baduizm. Later, folks!
