For My Mother ❤

Good morning, everyone! So, I wanted to be creative with Mother's Day this year and write up a blog post for my mother. This will also be a way for me to get back into the swing of writing, too. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to my smart, funny, and strong mother. She makes single parenting look easy. Love you! 💖

In the 18 years I have been on this Earth, never have I known a woman as strong, smart, intelligent, witty and hard-working as you. Raising us as a single parent always brought trials and tribulations, but you worked your way to where you are today. I have always been amazed by your incredible work ethic, even if you did not have the energy to do so. I must say that I developed my work ethic from watching you all these years. I am still influenced and amazed by it even now.

A part of me feels very sorry, though, because I know for a fact that I have not given you as much credit as you deserve. If I had realized how much you sacrifice to give us the best life possible, I would not feel as sorry. I will not excuse my adolescence for my ungratefulness as I tend to do. You deserve all the love and credit that this world has to offer for your endless sacrifices for the betterment of our lives. God has truly blessed me with a deeply passionate and concerned mother like you. Believe me, it could have been the other way around.

With your love and support, I am already a college graduate and I am on the verge of being a high school graduate. And I know for a fact you are going to be one happy mama when I walk across that stage in June (haha). However, the road does not end there. I am now approaching an age where it is time for me to return the favor. All the sacrifices that you made for me will be paid back in full. Whether it be everyday necessities or random gifts (I know you don't like surprises, but...), it is my duty to pay you back for everything you have ever done and continue to do for me.

Alas, I wish you a Happy Mother's Day from the bottom of my heart and the depths of my soul. I will continue to love, honor, and cherish you as your daughter; and I am very proud of all the progress you have made throughout your life. May God continue to bless you, and may you continue to prosper.

Your Daughter,

Kianna :)

A Song for You
